Two coasts, two different trips
Almost every all-inclusive resort in Barbados is in one of two parishes. Saint James runs along the west coast. Christ Church covers the south coast, where the airport is.
The west coast: Saint James
The west coast faces the Caribbean Sea and is the quieter side of the island. Resorts here include The Club Barbados, The House, Treasure Beach and Royalton Vessence, which are sold to adults, plus Tamarind, Waves and Crystal Cove.
The south coast: Christ Church
The south coast is closer to Grantley Adams International Airport and has more bars and restaurants nearby. Resorts here include Sandals Barbados and Sandals Royal Barbados for couples, and Sugar Bay, Turtle Beach, O2 Beach Club, Sea Breeze Beach House and Barbados Beach Club.
The east: Saint Philip
Wyndham Grand Barbados Sam Lord's Castle stands on its own in Saint Philip, on the Atlantic side. The sea here is rougher than on the west and south coasts.
Check the rate before you pay
Bougainvillea Barbados sells room-only, breakfast and meal-plan rates rather than a full all-inclusive plan. At every resort, check what your rate includes before you book.
